Before any puppy leaves Scarlett Australian Shepherd Home, they are given a complete health examination by a licensed veterinarian. We do not skip steps or rush this process. Each pup is dewormed on schedule, vaccinated appropriately for their age, and provided with a detailed record of their health history. You will receive a copy of these records when your puppy comes home with you. We also include a personalized health booklet with vaccination dates, deworming information, feeding guidelines, and vet recommendations to help ease the transition.

We offer a written health guarantee for every puppy we place. This guarantee typically covers genetic conditions for a full one year from the date of purchase. Should your vet find a serious, life-impacting genetic health issue within this timeframe, we are committed to making things right. That could include a refund, replacement puppy (if available and desired), or working with you on a resolution that fits your unique situation. This guarantee isn’t just paperwork to us — it’s a reflection of our confidence in our dogs and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Our puppies are also covered under a short-term general health guarantee that extends 72 hours from the time of pickup or delivery. This period allows you to take your new puppy to your own veterinarian for a health check. We strongly encourage this first visit. It gives you peace of mind, establishes a relationship with your vet, and ensures your puppy is adjusting well to their new surroundings. If, during this initial health exam, your vet discovers a previously unknown condition that significantly affects the quality of life or long-term health of the puppy, we will work with you compassionately and fairly to resolve the issue. All we ask is that you let us know immediately and provide documentation from your veterinarian.

Shipping is another part of this journey that we take very seriously. We understand that not every family can make the trip to pick up their puppy in person — and while we love meeting our puppy parents face-to-face, we also believe in offering a safe and comfortable shipping option that doesn’t compromise the well-being of our dogs.

We offer two main options for delivery: flight nanny services and ground transportation. For air travel, we work exclusively with experienced flight nannies who accompany your puppy in the cabin of the plane — not in the cargo hold. These professionals treat your puppy like their own, offering hands-on care throughout the journey and ensuring your new companion is comforted and secure from takeoff to arrival. You'll receive flight information and updates along the way, and your puppy will be placed directly into your arms upon arrival at your nearest major airport.

If you prefer ground transport, or if weather or location makes air travel difficult, we partner with licensed pet transporters who specialize in long-distance puppy delivery. These individuals are experienced in providing attentive, climate-controlled travel that allows your pup to rest, eat, and arrive safe and sound. We will communicate with you ahead of time to arrange the most convenient delivery window and provide regular updates during transit.

No matter which option you choose, we prepare your puppy with care. Before shipping, each pup is given a vet check specifically for travel clearance. They are bathed, groomed, and packed with a personalized travel kit that includes food, a familiar toy or blanket with the scent of home, and detailed instructions for the first few days together. We also send you a guide to help your puppy transition smoothly — because we know it can be a little overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time bringing a puppy home.
